About Jerry and Diane

Scott Berk’s parents, lived in Africa, Europe, Asia and Australia for over 30 years, raising two boys and experiencing various cultures and ways of life. Sailing, skiing and hiking on a rather calmer mode than their son’s level are included in their leisure time activities. They provided support to Team Nomad in the team’s first attempt on the Southern Traverse where they learned to cook meals at midnight, navigate New Zealand’s back roads and provide sympathy and support to the tired and hungry competitors. They did the same in 2003. An excellent support crew !
