Personal Statement

Adventure racing is as close as I've come to seeing what I'm made of. The beauty of adventure racing is not only the time spent outside, but also the time spent with like-minded individuals striving for a similar goal-- a hard fought crossing of the finish line. With teammates, I always seem to exceed my own personal limits. It's like going to the gym and trying to lift as much weight as I can and then trying to lift the same weight with the help of my teammates. The latter is always more fulfilling. This is what I like about adventure racing.
