Scott Berk and Grant Sisler are both participating in this event as individual competitors, racing against themselves and their limits. The race consists of a normal ironman distances (2.4m swim, 112m bike, 26.2m run), but will be entirely off-road. That is, a lake swim, a long mountain bike loop and a trail marathon. Both Scott and Grant signed up for the first ever off-road ironman last year in Rifle, CO, but that race was cancelled due to wildfires. This year Odyssey promises to put on a strong event.
