Team Nomad Charity Partnership with Trips for Kids
Nomad
helps to improve the visiblity of a non- profit
organization that provides mountain biking opportunities
for youth.
In 2001, Nomad racers helped to raise funds for
Trips for Kids (TFK), a national nonprofit organization
that provides children in under-served communities
with an opportunity to ride mountain bikes. The
organization was started in the Bay Area by Marilyn
Price in 1988 and now has over 30 chapters across
North America. TFK continues to add new chapters
each year, relying on key support from REI, Clif
Bar, and local "trip volunteers." Nomad
racers have volunteered their mountain biking expertise
as trip volunteers for the Boston Chapter.
